Démarche artistique
Mon style est le reflet de ma personnalité. Pour me démarquer, j’ai laissé les pinceaux de côté pendant 3 ans pour apprendre la base du métier, le dessin. Je suis passée par plusieurs médiums, mais le mien, c’est sans contredit la peinture à l’huile pour sa richesse, sa profondeur et sa polyvalence.
Étudiante à L’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Laval de 2011 à 2022, l’histoire de l’art et l’étude des grands maîtres m’ont fait cheminer grandement. J’ai amélioré ma technique, développé mon propre style qui je l’espère, pourra toujours se distinguer par sa qualité difficilement imitable.
Mon intention première est de faire réagir les spectateurs par mes propres créations.
Je veux qu’ils soient attirés par le sujet, interpellés par la couleur, impressionnés par la composition et la complexité des détails puis qu’ils découvrent et ressentent une émotion face aux actions que font mes personnages.
Si ma composition est plus simple, sans personnage par exemple, j’aimerais bien que pour l’admirateur, elle se traduise en:
- Un paysage à faire rêver dans lequel il aurait envie d’entrer tout simplement
- Un objet ou un animal qui ravive un souvenir positif ou éveil en lui, un sentiment agréable
Biographie
Née à Laval (Québec), Manon est animée par une énergie débordante et communicatrice. Sa tête foisonne d’inspiration et d’idées créatrices.
Au secondaire, son professeur d’arts plastiques l’incite fortement à se diriger vers les Arts. Elle s’inscrit au Cégep en technique de graphisme. Malheureusement elle n’aime pas tous les médiums et tous les sujets ne l’inspirent pas. Sa créativité débordante s’éteint dans cet encadrement trop strict. Elle choisit une autre voie après 18 mois d’études.
27 ans plus tard, l’étincelle est rallumée suite à la réception d’une simple carte de fête peinte à l’aquarelle. Au 1er vernissage de son ami Daniel Martel, l’étincelle se transforme en une grande flamme. Elle s’achète un ensemble de peinture à l’huile et s’inscrit tout bonnement au loisir de sa municipalité. Elle découvre avec surprise qu’elle a une facilité extrême à faire ce qui est le plus difficile. Sa spécialité, les visages et les textures des tissus. Après 1 an, plusieurs signes lui indiquent la voix à suivre ; elle n’a plus de temps à perdre.
Son but ultime est de rendre ses tableaux magiques, inspirants et de faire naître des émotions inattendues aux gens qui les admirent. Elle se nourrit de l’admiration dans leurs regards.
En septembre 2011, elle s’inscrit à l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Laval. Son professeurs Chantal Pépin et le Maître portraitiste Denis Jacques, y font un travail extraordinaire.
Il est maintenant clair pour elle que pour créer de la magie artistique ça prend : le talent brut et l’imagination créatrice, le tout soutenu par une excellente technique obtenue par une solide formation et beaucoup de pratique.

Artistic Approach
I had a goal; study to the Academy of Fine Arts to become a professional artist.
I always knew what I wanted to do and what my style would be.
However, to get there, I had to leave the brushes to learn the basics of the craft, drawing. I have worked with several mediums including graphite, charcoal and pastel to name a few, but my favourite medium to work with is undoubtedly the oil painting for its richness, depth and versatility.
As a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Laval from 2011 to 2022, the history of art and the study of the great masters have helped me progress greatly. I have improved my technique and developed my own style, which I hope will always be distinguished by its difficult-to-imitable quality.
My primary intention is to provoke a reaction from viewer through my own creations.
I want them to be attracted by the subject, captivated by the colour and impressed by the complexity of the details. Then, to discover and feel an emotion in response to the actions of the characters. I want them to make my work their own and to interpret it in their own way, according to theire own questions, imagination and values. Ultimately, I hope that I am able inspire a reflexion and positively influence their perception.
If my composition is simpler, without a character for exemple , I would like for the admirer to translate it into:
- A dreamy landscape in which he would simply want to enter
- An object that revives a positive memory or awakens in him, a pleasant feeling
Biography
Born in Laval, Quebec , Manon is animated by an overflowing and communicative energy. Her head is full of inspiration and creative ideas. But Manon’s creativity is soon extinguished in this strict framework. She then chooses another path after 18 months of studies.
27 years later, the spark is reignited following the receipt of a simple birthday card painted in watercolor. At the first exhibition of her friend Daniel Martel, the spark turns into a great flame. She buys a set of oil paints and subscribes to a course of her municipality’s leisure association. She discovers with surprise that she has extreme ease in doing what is most difficult. Her specialty is the faces and textures of the fabrics. After 1 year, several signs indicate the voice to follow; she has no more time to lose.
Her ultimate goal is to make her paintings magical, inspiring and to make them bring unexpected emotions to people who admire her work. What her work evokes in people is the necessary fuel she needs to continue bring her passion to life.
In September 2011, she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Laval. Her teachers Chantal Pépin and Denis Jacques, Portrait Master do an extraordinary job.
It is now clear to her that to create artistic magic it takes raw talent and creative imagination, all supported by an excellent technique obtained by a solid training and a lot of practice.
