Démarche artistique
Artiste émergente en voie de professionnalisation, mon style est le reflet de ma personnalité; joyeux, optimiste et coloré.
J’ai exploré plusieurs médiums et le mien, c’est sans contredit la peinture à l’huile pour sa richesse, sa profondeur et sa polyvalence.
De 2011 à 2022, j’ai étudié à l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Laval. L’histoire de l’art et l’étude des grands maîtres ont profondément nourri ma pratique.
Portraitiste, je crée principalement du figuratif. J’ai développé mon propre style qui je crois, se distingue par ses détails et sa qualité difficilement imitables.
Mon intention première est de faire réagir le spectateur par mes propres créations.
Que celui qui regarde, soit attiré par le sujet, interpellé par les couleurs et ou la complexité du détail. Qu’il découvre et ressente une émotion face au regard ou à l’action que font mes personnages ou animaux. J’aime que chacun puisse s’approprier l’œuvre, l’interprète à sa manière, selon sa sensibilité et son imaginaire.
Et parfois la simplicité suffit:
- Un paysage qui invite à rêver dans lequel on aurait envie d’entrer
- Un objet qui ravive un bon souvenir ou éveil une émotion positive
Biographie
Née à Laval (Québec), Manon est animée par une énergie débordante et communicatrice. Sa tête foisonne d’inspiration et d’idées créatrices.
Dès son jeune âge, ses professeurs remarquent son potentiel et l’encouragent à poursuivre les arts. Pourtant, au Cégep en technique de graphisme, elle se heurte à un cadre trop rigide où certains médiums et sujets ne l’inspirent pas. Sa créativité surabondante s’éteint dans cet encadrement trop strict. Elle choisit une autre voie après 18 mois d’études.
Vingt-sept ans plus tard, l’étincelle créative renaît avec force. Manon découvre avec surprise une aisance naturelle pour ce qui est souvent le plus complexe : les visages, le corps humain et les textures. Tout converge alors vers une évidence : elle doit enfin suivre la voie qui l’appelle depuis toujours.
Pour transformer cette passion en véritable magie artistique, elle comprend que son talent brut doit s’appuyer sur une solide formation technique. À force d’essais, de pratique et de persévérance, elle trouve peu à peu sa niche et son équilibre.
En septembre 2011, elle s’inscrit à l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Laval, où elle est guidée par Chantal Pépin et le maître portraitiste Denis Jacques. Leur influence jouera un rôle déterminant dans son développement artistique.

Artistic Statement
As an emerging artist on the path to professionalization, my style reflects my personality: joyful, optimistic, and full of color. I explored several mediums, but oil painting quickly became my own — for its richness, depth, and versatility.
From 2011 to 2022, I studied at the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Laval, where art history and the study of the great masters deeply enriched my practice. Trained as a portrait artist, I work primarily in figurative art. Over time, I have developed a personal style that, I believe, stands out through its intricate details and a level of craftsmanship that is difficult to imitate.
My primary intention is to evoke a reaction in the viewer. I want the observer to be drawn to the subject, moved by the colors, or intrigued by the complexity of the details. I hope they discover and feel an emotion through the gaze or the action of my characters and animals. I love when each person can connect with the work and interpret it in their own way, guided by their sensitivity and imagination.
And sometimes, simplicity is enough:
- A dreamlike landscape one wishes to step into
- An object that awakens a fond memory or sparks a positive emotion.
Biography
Born in Laval, Québec, Manon is driven by boundless, expressive energy. Her mind overflows with inspiration and creative ideas. From a young age, her teachers recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue the arts. Yet, during her graphic design studies in Cégep, she found herself confined by a structure that felt too rigid, with mediums and subjects that failed to inspire her. Her abundant creativity dimmed within those strict boundaries, and after 18 months, she chose a different path.
Twenty‑seven years later, her creative spark reignites with force. Manon is astonished to discover a natural ease for what is often the most challenging: faces, the human body, and the textures of fabrics. Everything points toward one clear truth—she must finally follow the path that has been calling her all along.
To transform this passion into true artistic magic, she understands that her raw talent must be supported by solid technical training. Through experimentation, practice, and perseverance, she gradually finds her niche and her balance.
In September 2011, she enrolls at the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Laval, where she is guided by Chantal Pépin and master portrait artist Denis Jacques. Their influence plays a crucial role in her artistic development.
